AI cash flow forecasting for small businessHow much cash we have.
And how long it lasts.

Ask in plain English and your AI assistant answers from your own books and bank: cash across every account, how many months it lasts at your recent spending, bills due this week and a 13-week cash forecast. It labels estimates as estimates and never changes a number.

The old way

Log in to the bank. Add up three accounts. Open QuickBooks. Check bills due. Check who owes you. Update the spreadsheet. Guess the rest. Or just ask.

In your own words How's our cash looking, and can we afford to hire in March?

Your assistant reads cash across all your accounts from your bank feed, then works out runway from your recent burn: how much more goes out than comes in each month. It adds bills due from your books and money owed to you, and builds a 13-week forecast from what's coming in and going out. Every answer states the period and the source.

What you get back

The answer first, then the working.

You get the number, then how it was worked out, so you can check it. Your assistant answers the question you asked; whether to hire is still yours to decide. Only the people you choose can ask money questions, and bank account numbers are never shown.

Free guide

How to work out cash runway. One division, done honestly.

Runway is how many months you could keep going if nothing changed. The math is simple. Getting the inputs right is the part people skip.

  1. 01
Add up the cash you can actually use

Every bank account, minus money already spoken for, like payroll going out tomorrow.

  2. 02
    Work out your monthly burn

Money out minus money in, per month. Average the last three months so one odd month doesn’t skew it.

  3. 03
    Divide

Cash divided by monthly burn is your runway in months. If more comes in than goes out, you don’t have a runway problem.

  4. 04
Check it against the next 13 weeks

Averages hide timing. A weekly forecast of money in and out shows the week a big bill lands before a big payment arrives.

example

$184,220 cash ÷ $24,900 average monthly burn = 7.4 months of runway.

Your assistant does this from your real accounts, using your own definitions of what counts as cash and spending.

What stays with a person

The big money decisions stay with you.

Hiring, borrowing, spending

Your assistant can show your runway and forecast before you decide on a hire. The decision is yours.

Tax and legal questions

It gives no tax or legal advice. Those questions go to your accountant.

Your books and bank

It only looks. Nothing in your books changes, and it can’t move money.

How it's set up

Your rules, written down. Then followed every time.

Set up for you as part of the Finance package, typically in one to two weeks. No technical staff needed: one person who knows how the work flows, plus logins to your apps.

Questions

How do you calculate cash runway for a small business?

Divide the cash you can actually use by your average monthly burn, which is money out minus money in. Average a few months so one odd month doesn’t skew it, then check the result against a weekly forecast so a big bill doesn’t catch you out.

Can AI do cash flow forecasting?

Yes, if it can read your books and bank. Your assistant builds a 13-week forecast from money coming in and going out, and labels it as an estimate. It’s a starting point for decisions, not a guarantee, and it never changes your numbers.

Is it safe to give AI access to our books and bank?

In our setup, your assistant can only look; it can’t move money or change your books. Only the people you choose can ask money questions, bank and routing numbers are never shown and every question is saved with who asked and when.
